description: Coloured plate 1 from the definitive Twelve Views of moscow.by De la Barthe. This is the northern half of present-day red square, looking to north-west. The Kremlin wall (and adjacent fortifications, later demolished) on the left is obscured by a shopping arcade building. The arcade was later demolished, too, making way for present-day open space.
